The 18th Annual North City Jazz Walk is coming Tuesday, August 11, 2026! Over the past few years, the NCNA has taken a much more active role in planning and producing this event. In doing this, we've come to realize many of our neighbors in North City don't actually know much about the North City Jazz Walk.

Another Successful North City Cleanup Day

Last Saturday, May 9, with relatively short notice and little prompting on social media, a group of 20 North City neighbors showed up on a beautiful spring morning to help clean up in North City! We're grateful for the volunteer support and are excited to see how our community rallies for these types of events.

Shoreline Comes Together for North City Station!

Last month, a cleanup event was held at the site of the proposed North City Station. About 100 neighbors, recruited by the North City Neighborhood Association, Urbanist Shoreline, Salvation Artists & Makers Collective, and the City of Shoreline, joined forces for a work party that made a solid impression and a tangible improvement to the vacant site. The Shoreline Tool Library brought tools, equipment, and even more volunteers to help the effort.

Each month, the NCNA hosts an informal meetup. No business agendas – just a chance to meet neighbors and chat about our neighborhood. We welcome anyone who wants to learn more about NCNA activities, get the "word on the street” about business developments or city plans for North City, and maybe relive our favorite moments from the Super Bowl or hopes for this year’s Mariners team. The main thing is to connect in person!

North City Station Spring Cleanup

North City Station, a new public gathering spot, is coming soon to the site of the old lawn mower shop at NE 185th & 10th NE!!!! This currently vacant site, adjacent to North City’s Rotary Park and near the 185th Street Link Station, will soon become a temporary public space for events, food trucks, art, and culture. But first, it needs a serious glow-up!

Join the North City Neighborhood Association, Urbanist Shoreline, Salvation Artists and Makers Collective, the City of Shoreline, and many of your neighbors for a spring cleanup volunteer event at this future community hub.

This month's social meetup returns to Sodam Chicken on 15th across from the North City Lounge.

Note Day/Date Change — to Wednesday, February 18. Going forward, our meetups will be happening on the third Wednesday of each month.

Guests are responsible for their own food and beverage tabs. All ages are welcome and alcohol-free beverages are served. No purchase required to attend.

Speed, Streets, and Safety for All: Followup Information and Recap

On Wednesday May 7, the NCNA hosted a public meeting regarding traffic safety. Speed, Streets, and Safety for All was generously hosted by the North City Water District in their conference room. The event turnout was a success, with a nearly-full room of about 50 attendees. Urbanist Shoreline was our partner in developing the event content and we thank Katie Lorah for her energy and enthusiasm.
