Friday, August 30, 2024, was a big day in North City. The Shoreline North/185th Station, one of four new Link light rail stations, opened as part of the Sound Transit Lynnwood Link Extension. North City Neighborhood Association was chosen as the event producer.
We were gifted perfect summer weather, and the community turned out to celebrate and support the arrival of the Link trains to Shoreline stations. Hello There You Photography wonderfully captured the spirit of opening day. The theme was "Let's Get Moving" and featured dance performances as the focal point. More details here.
This event would not have been possible without the volunteers who offered their time and energy. We also thank all the vendors, community partners, and performers who created a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We especially recognize Sound Transit as the event sponsor.
