The North City Neighborhood Association invites all to learn about what is going on in our neighborhood, and in the City of Shoreline.

At this meeting, we plan to have City concilmember Betsy Robertson present a brief talk about the City's Planning Commission, as well as present a brief Q&A on North City topics and issues. There are three (or mayabe four) seats opening up on the Planning Commission in the near future.

North City Holiday Tree Lighting

We invite you to the 21st annual North City tree lighting event. Bring the whole family to Les Schwab at 180th & 15th Ave NE to help light the 25 foot “tree” on top of the North City water tower.

There will be live music and children can have their pictures taken with Santa. Coffee and other refreshments will be provided to help keep you warm, so don’t let the weather keep you from coming out.

We will be collecting non-perishable food items for Hopelink.

  • City mini-grant for North City? The City does offer funding to the neighborhood associations for specific projects. Please bring ideas for possible projects.
  • Jazz Walk — post-mortem and ideas for next year
  • Branding — A new banner? A-Boards? Shirts?
  • Formalization of the NCNA.

12th Annual North City Jazz Walk

Dance under the setting sun and stars to the strains of old and new jazz, enjoy delicious “Jazz Bites” food, tours of Shoreline Fire District’s fire truck, a beer and wine garden, and more — all at North City’s thirteenth annual Jazz Walk

The dining starts on 6pm, the music starts at 6:30pm.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of show.

National Night Out is August 6!

National Night Out brings together communities and involves residents, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations, and local officials. In 2018, more than 75 block parties were held in Shoreline.

National Night Out is August 6, and it is never too early to start planning your block party.

Important

The deadline to apply for road closure permits is Tuesday, July 23.
